Two Men Talking is a globally acclaimed, unscripted live performance in which two men weave their life stories into a production that has captivated audiences around the world. Two Men Talking celebrates the healing power of storytelling and of really listening to one another. It honors the affirmation of identity and self-acceptance in the face of a seemingly indifferent, sometimes hostile world.
“Our intention in performing is to create a sacred space, a moment of possibility that is healing for people, inspires audience members to tell stories of their own, and to value their own relationships. Each unscripted performance is absolutely unique in this continually transforming theatrical experience.” – Paul Browde, MD and Murray Nossel, PhD

“Story telling is a powerful medium for communication. Especially in situations where the message is too painful, too embarrassing, too secret to speak it. Storytelling can then become a journey to the truth.” – Archbishop Desmond Tutu
We invite you to register for Paul Browde and Murray Nossel’s one-day workshop based on their own dynamic storytelling framework. Their narrative method provides a disciplined, highly empathic focus on what has happened in the lives of those who seek help, using direct dialogue and sensory details to co-construct stories that invite clients to connect, change and heal. In this way, topics such as identity, diversity, race, sexuality, bullying, medical issues and end of life care can be addressed.
This workshop is intended to bring together therapists, educators, clergy, medical professionals and others in both formal and informal caregiving roles. Through this powerful learning experience you will be introduced to how narratives can be constructed in the space between the caregiver and the patient. It promises to be a valuable adjunct to your practice of caregiving.
Registration for this event includes single admission to the Saturday evening theater event (excluding the meet and greet).
Workshop will be capped at 100 participants, so reserve your space today and experience the power of narrative therapy!
