Maria Droste Counseling Center improves lives by helping individuals and families overcome obstacles, find solutions, heal from emotional trauma and distress, and achieve personal growth and satisfaction in their lives.
At Maria Droste Counseling Center, we offer psychotherapy and counseling services for adults, children, teens, couples, and families. With 27 licensed therapists, we have clinicians who specialize in treating a variety of concerns and issues.
These core community programs help us achieve our mission:
- The Options program provides affordable counseling for the all members of our community regardless of their income level or health insurance status.
- Children First serves the unique mental health needs of children and their families with on-site counseling services at 21 local elementary schools.
- The Survivors Mental Health Program (SMHP) provides comprehensive mental health care to adult survivors of violence who have serious mental health problems.
- New Directions is a Colorado state licensed program providing counseling for those seeking to live their lives free from alcohol, drugs, and behavioral addictions.
The Institute offers a broad learning landscape created by our professional therapists, guest speakers, trainers and panelists. Beginning summer 2013, The Institute schedule includes diverse and lively pairings of perspectives and practices in mental health. We offer unique learning opportunities for professionals in the field, students, professors, researchers, and the public.
Training is an important component of our work at Maria Droste Counseling Center. Our internship training program attracts masters’ and doctoral level students from six local universities as well as several distance learning programs. These graduate-level therapists serve as program counselors in our community programs under the supervision of the licensed therapists in The Therapist Group at Maria Droste Counseling Center.
