Application & Requirements

Learn what to expect when applying to MDCC’s Clinical Internship Program, including eligibility, placement requirements, and the application process.

What to Expect

One internship. Multiple settings.

Interns gain experience in both outpatient counseling and community-based settings. Depending on placement, services may be provided at MDCC, through telehealth, or at community sites such as schools and other partner locations.

Interns should be prepared to work with diverse clients and adapt to the different expectations, workflows, and needs of each setting.

Application Process

1. Submit Application → 2. Application Review → 3. Interview → 4. Placement Decision → 5. Onboarding

Underneath: Specific timelines and requirements may vary by cohort. Selected applicants will receive additional information about placement and onboarding requirements.

  • Whether practicum and internship students have different requirements
