Meet Our Staff Clinicians

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the counseling experience. MDCC’s staff clinicians bring a range of backgrounds, specialties, therapeutic approaches, and lived experiences to their work, helping us provide thoughtful, individualized care to the people and communities we serve.F

Finding the Right Fit

Explore our staff clinicians below to learn more about their areas of focus and approaches to therapy. If there is someone you’re particularly interested in working with, you can share that preference when connecting with our Access Team.

Clinician availability varies, and placement with a specific clinician cannot be guaranteed. All new clients begin through MDCC’s regular intake process so our team can learn about your needs, preferences, insurance or payment options, and available care. Our Access Coordinators will do their best to identify an appropriate match based on your preferences and current clinician availability. Our Access Team can assist clients in English or Spanish!

Areas of Focus: Life Transitions • Relationships • Self-Understanding • Life Adversity
Approach: Psychodynamic • Attachment-Based • Narrative Therapy • Cognitive Behavioral Approaches

Bio: Sometimes, we can feel stuck in ways that no longer work, disconnected from ourselves and others, or as if there is more to life than what we are experiencing now. Despite what you’ve lived through, I believe each person has the capacity to heal from their suffering.

My favorite part of therapy is helping people grow through difficult life events toward greater compassion and understanding of themselves as they create authentic connections with others.

Through a compassionate and relational approach, I use curiosity to help you understand the unique and integral parts of your true self while providing insight and tools that can help create meaningful relationships and overcome life adversity. Therapy with me consists of an integrative approach drawing from psychodynamic, attachment, and narrative therapies, with principles and skills from cognitive behavioral approaches applied throughout.

Outside the therapy room, you can often catch me on a local ski hill, spending time with friends, or enjoying Colorado’s mountains.

Areas of Focus:
Trauma • Intimate Partner Violence • Substance Use
Approach:
EMDR • Sensorimotor Psychotherapy • Holistic & Integrative

Bio: I know all too well how difficult it can feel to find the right therapist, especially when experiencing financial limitations. After my own trials and tribulations, I am now able to give back to Denver communities.

As a Latina clinical social worker with a background in philosophy and psychology and extensive knowledge of systems theory, I am firmly rooted in values such as competence, integrity, and honoring the dignity and worth of the clients I get to serve. I believe it is imperative to work with clients through a holistic and integrative lens.

I work primarily with trauma modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and sensorimotor psychotherapy. I offer these services in Spanish as well. I have had the honor of working with individuals experiencing recent or current intimate partner violence, children experiencing trauma, and individuals experiencing substance use concerns.
