Community Based Sites
Meeting people where they are
Mental health care is often most accessible when it’s available in the places people already know and trust. MDCC works with community organizations to bring affordable counseling and behavioral health support directly into community settings, with options available for people with or without insurance.
Bringing Care Into the Community
MDCC places clinicians and graduate-level interns within community organizations, helping reduce barriers that can make traditional office-based mental health care difficult to access. Depending on the site and community need, services may include individual counseling, group support, outreach, referrals, and connections to additional resources.

How Community-Based Care Works
Each community site is different. MDCC works with organizations to understand the needs of the people they serve and develop a model that fits the setting.
Clinicians may provide services on-site, through telehealth, or through a combination of both—making it easier for people to connect with care without navigating another unfamiliar system.
Why It Matters
Transportation, cost, insurance, language, and unfamiliarity with the mental health system can all make it harder to access care. Bringing services into trusted community settings helps reduce those barriers and creates additional pathways into ongoing mental health support.
